MAC TADOKORO NAMED PRESIDENT OF AMADA CUTTING TECHNOLOGIES

LA MIRADA, CA, Feb. 26, 2003 -- Mac Tadokoro has been named president of Amada Cutting Technologies, Inc. (ACT). The company's previous president, Toshi Ichimura, has returned to Japan as vice president of Amada Cutting Systems (parent company of ACT), responsible for operations in North America, South America and Asia.

Tadokoro joined Amada in 1982 as a service engineer at the company's Isehara City, Japan headquarters. He was promoted to service manager at ACT in 1988 and to general manager in 1994.

"ACT has long been recognized as an innovator leader in formulating and implementing new programs and technologies," Tadokoro said. "We're constantly striving to improve our products and customer service and I intend to expand upon this in order to increase our market share in North America."

Tadokoro received a degree in aeronautical engineering from Tokyo Metro College. He is married and in his spare time enjoys working on vintage cars and motorcycles.

ACT, established in 1987, is located in La Mirada, Calif., about 25 miles south of Los Angeles. ACT is part of the Amada Group, the world's largest manufacturer/distributor of sheet metal fabrication machinery, founded in 1946. ACT sells and distributes bandsaw machines, bi-metal bandsaw blades and parts to manufacturing facilities, steel service centers, forges and foundries, machine shops and other metal-related industries throughout North America.
