MACTEC RECEIVES 16 SAFETY AWARDS FROM NATIONAL SAFETY COUNCIL

ALPHARETTA, GA, Nov. 20, 2009 -- MACTEC has received 16 safety awards from the National Safety Council (NSC). Allen Kibler, President of MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc., (www.mactec.com), made the announcement.

According to Howard J. Gordon, MACTEC’s Corporate Director of Environment, Safety and Health, the company was recognized at the recently held 2009 NSC Congress and Expo for an exceptional safety record resulting in no recordable occupational injuries or illnesses on various projects documenting over 700,000 hours of work.

Some of the 16 projects given awards include:

  • Florida Department of Transportation Pavement Management, Ashburn, VA
  • Illinois State toll Highway Authority South Tri-State Tollway Road Bridge Design, Chicago, IL
  • Lowry Air Force Base Environmental Investigation Design/Build, Denver, CO
  • University of Nebraska Agricultural Research * Development Center, Lincoln, NE
  • US AFCEE Defense Logistics Agency Title II Services, Warner Robins, GA
