Halo BI CEO Ray Major Named One of Top 50 Midmarket IT Vendor Executives by CRN

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 3, 2013 – Halo Business Intelligence (Halo BI) CEO Ray Major is named as one of the Top 50 Midmarket IT Vendor Executives by CRN on the inaugural list, which highlights the IT industry's most influential vendor executives who serve midmarket and midsize customers. Executives were nominated by peers, colleagues, customers and partners. The list was unveiled at last month's Midsize Enterprise Summit in Phoenix.

"This list was designed to spotlight executives serving the midmarket who strive to keep pace with the demands of an evolving IT landscape while meeting the specific needs of their customers," said Robert C. DeMarzo, senior vice president of strategic content of UBM Channel, the umbrella organization of Xchange Events, which compiled the list. "We congratulate the honorees and look forward to their continued success."

"It's an honor to make this prestigious list," noted Major. "Halo BI helps midmarket businesses not simply save money, but improve the entire ecosystem by leveraging the human intelligence that's so critical to success. In short, we provide software tools that allow a team to ask and answer their own business questions – because they know their business best."

Major added that about 80 percent of Halo BI's business comes from midsize organizations.

"We invest a significant amount of effort in education and training on best practices in business analytics and intelligence with our midmarket customers and it has yielded significant results. One customer told us we had saved them almost $90,000 within weeks; another said they were rolling out our platform to select customers of theirs to provide an 'intelligence portal' that's helping those customers save money and strengthen business relations," he said.
