IDTechEx Launchpad Offers Global Opportunity for Startups

CAMBRIDGE, UK, Aug. 26, 2015 – Global research and consultancy firm IDTechEx has unveiled IDTechEx Launchpad, an innovative initiative that will provide 10 startup companies and educational institutions with a free opportunity to display their prototypes at the IDTechEx Show. The show and conference will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA, Nov. 18-19.

"It's very challenging for small companies and research organizations to show their advances or exhibit where no budget exists," said IDTechEx CEO Raghu Das. "IDTechEx Launchpad will give them the ability to reach an international audience and for attendees to see state-of-the-art prototypes a few years before they appear in the marketplace."

Ten organizations will be judged and selected for IDTechEx Launchpad; companies can apply until Sept. 8 by completing an online form at www.IDTechEx.com/Launchpad. Successful applicants will be given a space to exhibit along with 200 other exhibitors and the opportunity to demonstrate their prototypes to this influential audience, comprised of more than 3,000 attendees from leading global organizations, as well as members of the press.

IDTechEx Wearable USA is one of eight co-located IDTechEx conferences that will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center. And it's the only conference in the world that includes key emerging technologies all under one roof – printed electronics, energy harvesting & storage, graphene & 2D materials, 3D printing, Internet of Things applications, electric vehicles, and sensors.

Established in 1999, IDTechEx provides independent market research, business intelligence and events on emerging technology to clients in more than 80 countries. IDTechEx is headquartered in Cambridge UK; additional offices are in Berlin, Boston and Tokyo.
