SMARTSEARCH ONLINE HELPS GOVCONNECT 'CONNECT' WITH CANDIDATES, CLIENTS

OCEANSIDE, CA, July 27, 2001 -- SmartSearch Online from Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS; http://www.aps2k.com) is helping GovConnect better manage its resume flow. Doug Coull, APS' president, made the announcement.

Kipp Seidl, GovConnect's staffing manager, said his company had been using Microsoft Outlook as its database to manage and host resumes.

With SmartSearch Online, Seidl said GovConnect can now manage applicants and search for specific skill sets.

"We also use SmartSearch Online as a portal - we're able to manage open positions and post them on the Internet very easily. We open a requisition within SmartSearch Online and once opened, it creates a job on our career section of our Web site. People can thus apply to that job via our Web site."

Seidl added that the system's remote capability is also a big plus.

"I can access our database anywhere - if there's a snowstorm and I'm stuck in my house, I can still reach candidates," he said.
