BERRYMAN & HENIGAR WINS $700,000 CONTRACT FROM CITY OF REDLANDS

SAN DIEGO, CA, Aug. 6, 2004 -- Berryman & Henigar has been awarded a $700,000 contract from the City of Redlands, CA to provide plan review and inspection services for the Mountainview power plant. Scott Kvandal, president of Berryman & Henigar made the announcement.

The $550 million, 1,056-megawatt power plant is slated for completion in December 2006, and when operational, will provide electricity for 1.3 million households in San Bernardino County.

According to Redlands Building Official Richard Pepper, Berryman & Henigar is working closely with the city to provide plan check and on-site inspection services. The project includes the construction of two power blocks, with each power block consisting of two gas turbines and one steam turbine. The main power facilities will occupy more than 16 acres and contain the power island, administrative buildings, chemical storage areas, cooling towers and other support facilities. The cooling towers for each unit will consist of two towers with up to 10 cells and two oil storage tanks will be modified for us as the cooling tower makeup water storage tank and well water storage tank.
