BERRYMAN & HENIGAR AWARDED $500,000 PLANNING CONTRACT WITH CITY OF SHORELINE, WA

SEATTLE, WA, Oct. 1, 2003 -- Berryman & Henigar has been selected by the City of Shoreline, WA to update the city s comprehensive plan, draft environmental regulations, and oversee the development of transportation and surface water master plans. Scott Kvandal, president of Berryman & Henigar, made the announcement. Contract amount is $500,000; estimated completion date is Spring 2004.

With more than 53,000 residents, Shoreline is Washington s fourteenth largest city and is located about 15 miles north of Seattle. The city was incorporated in 1995.

"The project will guide the development of public and private facilities and infrastructure," said Anna Kolousek, assistant planning director for the city. "It will result in a 'holistic' planning effort for all city infrastructure and the emphasis will be on the priorities that will guide the preparation of the city's capital improvement program."

The project's scope includes these key categories:

  • Overall project management
  • Comprehensive plan update
  • Environmental element and development regulations including Shoreline master program element and development regulations
  • Transportation master plan
  • Surface water master plan
  • Capital improvement and fiscal planning
  • Public involvement for development of all plans and updates
  • Environmental review for development of all plans and updates
