CCC COMMUNICATIONS BUYS INTERNET FIRMS

ESCONDIDO, CA, Dec. 11, 2000 -- CCC Communications, Inc. has acquired Millennia Communications LLC and Web Communications Concepts, Inc. (WebCC). Robert DeuPree, president of CCC Communications, made the announcement. The acquisitions were a combination of cash and stock; terms were not disclosed.

San Diego-based Millennia Communications LLC, established in 1996 and doing business as Millennia Net, provides Internet dial up, DSL, T1 and colocation services to 3,500 customers from their Internet data center in San Diego.

"Millennia Net has a dedicated customer base, excellent location, multiple backbone providers and a Cisco powered network," DeuPree said. "We are going to be upgrading their colocation facilities so that we can provide our existing and new customers with state-of-the-art colocation in San Diego at the existing Millennia Net facility in addition to our North County Internet Data Center."

"The agreement provides Millennia Net customers with complete business communications/information systems solutions all under one roof, further solidifying CCC Communications' industry reputation as a one-stop shop for communications," said Ray Ehlers, Millennia Net's chairman.

WebCC, founded in 1995, is an Internet professional services firm providing intranet, extranet, Web site and network integration solutions for small to medium-sized businesses and for private and public educational institutions. Their state-of-the-art Internet Data Center and colocation facility provides redundant hardware and network infrastructure, multi-vendor network and hardware platforms, 24 x 7 x 365 network monitoring and management, 7 x 24 tech support, power backup, redundant routers, and air conditioning systems. WebCC has connectivity to all 10 major tier one providers giving them direct access to 96 percent of the Internet without going through the public peering points. WebCC is located in Escondido, about 30 miles northeast of San Diego.

"The acquisition of WebCC enables CCC Communications to offer a wide range of client-tailored, value-added IP-based solutions," DeuPree said.

Richard J. Sears, founder of WebCC, who will now serve as CCC Communications' Vice President-Network Operations, added "the company's services integrate seamlessly with CCC Communications. In fact, CCC and WebCC have been working together with clients for years so this step was just a natural progression of our relationship."

"CCC Communications can now provide customized services such as enterprise network/E-commerce solutions, security related services, and also function as an Application Service Provider (ASP)," Sears said. "We have the facilities, network infrastructure and most importantly the technical expertise that allows companies to outsource their network-based software application needs."

CCC Communications was established in 1989. The Escondido-based firm has more than 100 certified engineers, technicians and support staff. CCC Communications provides comprehensive communications solutions to public and private sector clients in California and the Western United States. In addition to Internet services, CCC Communications provides inside/outside plant cabling, telephone and voice mail systems, LAN/WAN network hardware, video conferencing, PC/server support and network integration.
