Dr. Murray P. Leavitt provides consulting services to small businesses worldwide, including minority and women owned companies. Dr. Leavitt is a Professor of Business and has been an independent consultant for over 30 years. He has been the Director of the California Technical Assistance Network (CAPTAN), a statewide program of the U.S. Department of Defense that assists small businesses sell their products and services to both federal and state agencies in the United States.

Dr. Leavitt founded the Small Business Development Center at the University of Pertanian, Serdang, Malaysia and developed a program for training the indigenous Maori population and Pacific Islanders for the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand as a visiting Fulbright Fellow to both Universities. In 1997 he established a Business Resource Center for Empretec Zimbabwe in Harare, Zimbabwe, a local non-profit agency funded by the United Nations Development Program.

Dr. Leavitt also served as the Director of the Small Business Institute, DeAnza College, Cupertino, California, which functions as a supplier of consulting services to small businesses requiring business assistance.

Dr. Leavitt received his doctorate in education from the University of California at Berkeley, an MA in business marketing from Columbia University, an MBA from Long Island University, and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Missouri.
