SAN DIEGO, Dec. 16, 2013 – Halo Business Intelligence (Halo BI), a global provider of business intelligence software, announced today that Spokane, WA-based Zak Designs , a large scale manufacturer of kitchen and dining products, has selected Halo BI as their business intelligence solution provider. The company will use Halo BI's holistic BI platform initially to enable their sales and product development personnel to mine company data on their own – and use it more effectively.
According to Zak Designs Chief Information Officer Raymond Shill, the company evaluated platforms from Oracle BI, Birst and Domo before selecting Halo BI. "The bottom line is that the Halo BI platform is easy to use and maintain," said Shill. "We're already seeing some tangible benefits like reduced time to produce reporting," Shill added. "Halo BI is giving our sales people greater and faster access, and the mobile capabilities are excellent."
Key platform components of the Halo BI solution that Zak Designs will deploy include:
Zak Designs manufactures an extensive array of dinnerware products featuring children's favorite characters, tableware and kitchen prep products. The company also licenses intellectual property from large institutional brands and distributes the products through national retailers. Zak Designs currently has about 180 employees, two facilities in Washington and annual revenue of $50 million. For more information, visit their website at http://www.zak.com.
