IMAGINATION TECHNOLOGIES LICENSES VIDEO DISPLAY PROCESSING CORE TO NEC ELECTRONICS

KINGS LANGLEY, UK, July 20, 2007 -- Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE:IMG; "Imagination") - a leader in System-on-Chip Intellectual Property ("SoC IP") - reports that NEC Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), a world-leading semiconductor company, has licensed a next-generation core from Imagination's PowerVR video display technology family under a multiple-use license arrangement.

This proprietary core from Imagination delivers new levels of performance while requiring a significantly smaller silicon area than other solutions.

NEC Electronics will incorporate the technology in SoC devices targeting digital AV markets.

Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives license fees and royalty revenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination's IP shipped by partners.
