KONEXX UNVEILS PHONE 2 PC - CALL CENTER

SAN DIEGO, CA, May 8, 2002 -- KONEXX (http://www.konexx.com) has unveiled Phone 2 PC-Call Center, an innovative digital telephone recording solution that improves call center efficiency and productivity. Curtis Salisbury, KONEXX Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, made the announcement.

Phone 2 PC-Call Center software is compatible with any Microsoft Windows operating system and provides three unique modes:

Supervisor Mode: Gives the user complete control of all recording features (record, start/stop, pause, file location, etc.).

Agent-On Demand Mode: Perfect for verification services, enables agents to start/stop, and pause recordings. Only the required portions of calls are recorded - files are automatically saved to a drive location determined by a supervisor.

Agent-Logger Mode: Voice activated mode that automatically records and files all conversations, settings and features are invisible to agents.

"Phone 2 PC-Call Center is the ultimate cost-effective recording solution," Salisbury said. "You can record telephone conversations digitally on a PC and file the recordings on your network or local drive for later retrieval and playback."

Salisbury added that with Phone 2 PC-Call Center, call center supervisors can randomly evaluate agents phone calls to measure productivity and quality.

"Administrators can also choose modes by using a special password," he said.

Other key features include:

  • E-mail button - E-mail recorded conversation as WAV attachments.
  • Voice activation - Begins recording when a voice is detected.
  • Auto File Naming - Saves files to the network server with fixed prefixes and date/time in a highly compressed GSM format (one hour of conversation uses only 7.2 MB).

The Phone 2 PC-Call Center interface (hardware piece) receives power from an AC adapter and easily connects from the telephone handset directly to the sound card.

"With our system, users are able to attain a playback sound quality typically only found with the most expensive enterprise recording solutions," Salisbury said.

Conversations are recorded directly to compressed WAV files that can be e-mailed as attachments or archived for future reference. Conversations are also easily edited for sharing or filing purposes.

Recordings may be saved directly on the PC or on a Local Area Network (LAN). The Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows for ease of use and training.

Phone 2 PC-Call Center is compact - 3" (L) x 1.3" (W) x 1" (H). Weighing only 1.5 ounces, it's compatible with all PC desktop sound cards and recording software.
