MACTEC NAMES FOUR NEW VICE PRESIDENTS

ALPHARETTA, GA, Feb. 11, 2008 -- MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C) has promoted Peter J. Campbell, PE, Richard J. Manser, PG, Terry S. Smith and Samuel M. Watson, PE, to vice president. Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company (www.mactec.com) - made the announcement.

Campbell joined MACTEC in 2001 and also serves as San Diego Office Manager. He was previously with the U.S. Navy, Civil Engineer Corps, where he was frequently recognized for outstanding performance, including receiving the Society of Military Engineers' Sverdup Medal for most outstanding engineering contributions by a military officer. Campbell has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Duke University and a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from Stanford University. He is a registered Professional Engineer as well as a certified SCUBA dive master.

Manser spearheads all San Francisco Bay Area operations, which include Oakland, Petaluma and San Francisco, and the Sacramento office. He has more than 23 years of environmental consulting experience and has been with MACTEC for nine years. As a hydrogeologist, Manser has extensive experience characterizing groundwater flow systems and hyrogeologic environments. Manser, a registered Professional Geologist, has a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and a Master of Science degree in hydrogeology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Smith is based in Knoxville, TN and serves as Construction Services Manager of MACTEC's North Division. He has been with MACTEC since 1990 and has more than 35 years of civil engineering and construction experience encompassing major infrastructure projects, pipelines, refineries, water/wastewater treatment plants, dam construction, as well as commercial, industrial and residential projects. Smith also spent almost eight years managing projects in the Middle East and South America and has managed remedial projects at more than two dozen Air National Guard facilities in the U.S. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Watson, who has been with MACTEC for nine years, is located in Austin, TX and also oversees operations for the firm's Dallas, Houston and Oklahoma offices. He has more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering with a particular concentration in rural and suburban roadway design. Watson also has extensive project management experience in roadway planning and design, drainage studies, bridge inspection, load rating and analysis, and noise impact studies for roadway corridors. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University.
