MACTEC AWARDED BUILDING EVALUATION CONTRACT FROM HILTON HOTELS CORPORATION

CINCINNATI, OH, April 16, 2004 -- MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C; www.mactec.com) has been awarded a building evaluation contract from Hilton Hotels Corporation. Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company (www.mactec.com) - made the announcement.

According to MACTEC Cincinnati Area Manager Everett Wessner, the company is evaluating the building 'envelope' of the Cleveland East Hotel in Beachwood, OH. The hotel has more than 400 guestrooms and was constructed in the 1970s.

"We performed a comprehensive study which included evaluating the exterior walls and roofs," he said. "We also prepared project specifications and drawings that helped facilitate necessary upgrades and repairs, which included window replacement, removal and replacement of brick to install window head flashings, sealant/caulking replacement, roof replacement on three buildings and other miscellaneous repairs."

Wessner added that the project is in the final phase and is slated for completion this summer.
