AFCEE AWARDS ARCHITECT-ENGINEER CONTRACT TO MACTEC

ALPHARETTA, GA, April 18, 2008 -- The Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE) has selected MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C) to provide architect-engineer services. Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company (www.mactec.com) - made the announcement.

Created in 1991, AFCEE is located at Brooks City Base in San Antonio, TX. AFCEE is the principal engineering and environmental services agency for the United States Air Force, offering commanders a full range of technical and professional services in the areas of environmental restoration, pollution prevention, environmental compliance, natural and cultural resources conservation, facility design and construction management, and comprehensive planning.

According to MACTEC Vice President Dennis Brownley, MACTEC is providing a variety of Title I (design),Title II (construction inspection) and other services to administer and support environmental; military construction; military family housing; and facility sustainment, restoration and modernization programs.

"This is a worldwide five-year task order contract and MACTEC was selected as one of the large full-service contractors to provide these services," Brownley said. "We have implemented numerous projects for AFCEE over the years and look forward to this next collaboration."

MACTEC, based in Alpharetta, GA, is an environmental, engineering, construction management, and infrastructure services firm with more than $450 million in annual revenue and 3,000 employees in over 80 offices nationwide. The company has operated in San Antonio since 1993. Additional Texas offices are located in Austin, Houston and Dallas.
