MACTEC WINS $3.8 MILLION USAF CONTRACT TO CONDUCT FACILITY CONDITION ASSESSMENTS AT 10 BASES WORLDWIDE

KENNESAW, GA, Sept. 1, 2009 -- MACTEC has been awarded a $3.8 million contract by the United States Air Force (USAF) to conduct facility condition assessments (FCAs) at 10 bases worldwide. MACTEC Facility Lifecycle Group Director of Operations, Bill Faesenmeier, made the announcement.

The project, slated for completion by this December, includes assessment of office buildings, warehouses, utilities, roadways, airfield pavements (runways, taxiways and aprons), and selected site development features (rail trackage, tanks, towers, fencing).

"We'll be using various engineering management software programs for conducting FCAs of the buildings, and for inventory and assessment of vehicular and airfield pavements," said MACTEC-FLG Senior Project Manager DeAllen Norris. "We'll also generate a Long Range Maintenance Plan (LRMP) developed for a minimum of 10 years at each base."
