Network Box USA Certified in Artisan Infrastructure’s Solution Ecosystem

HOUSTON, March 29, 2011 – Network Box USA (www.networkboxusa.com), the American arm of worldwide MSSP (managed security service provider) Network Box Corp., has formed a strategic alliance with Artisan Infrastructure (www.artisaninfrastructure.com), the wholesale infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider.

"A strategic alliance with Artisan Infrastructure is a perfect fit for us because their business model enables delivering cloud computing solutions by managed service providers," said Pierluigi Stella, CTO of Network Box USA. "With the freedom of vendor choice in the Artisan Infrastructure ecosystem, many MSPs want to choose who manages their network environment's security, and that includes outsourcing it to a company like ours that can provide a fully integrated managed security solution."

Network Box, in fact, is the only integrated managed solution in a virtual environment, comprising the three layers of security necessary to protect a network:

• a virtual unified threat management (UTM) appliance – Network Box's award-winning UTM device includes firewall, intrusion detection and prevention, anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-phishing, and anti-spyware;
• network operation centers (NOCs) that monitor and manage the UTMs; and
• security response – When a new malware signature or security patch becomes available, Network Box pushes it out through its regional NOCs within three seconds and onto all end-user UTM devices worldwide within 45 seconds.

"One of the biggest reasons MSPs choose Artisan Infrastructure is because of our flexibility, coupled with the fact we don't resell specific solutions – it's about customer vendor preference and choice," said Steve Williams, vice president, business development, at Artisan Infrastructure. "Our solution-neutral ecosystem allows MSPs the option to choose their own solutions along with the choice to leverage third-party vendor partners to manage their networking and security. The relationship with Network Box solidifies our flexibility and solution-neutral ecosystem and works great for our joint customers."

Added Stella: "We already have several joint customers through our alliance with Artisan Infrastructure, and some of them are VARs that are already considering reselling the Network Box UTM appliance."
