SDR FORUM NAMES LEE PUCKER CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

DENVER, CO, Sept. 10, 2007 -- The Software Defined Radio (SDR) Forum (www.sdrforum.org), a nonprofit international industry association for reconfigurable wireless technology, has retained industry veteran Lee Pucker on a two-year contract to provide chief executive officer (CEO) services in a newly-created consultancy position reporting to the Forum's board of directors. Pucker has lately served as chief technology officer and vice president for corporate development at Forum member company Spectrum Signal Processing and is now forming his own firm, ForwardLink Consulting.

As consulting CEO of the SDR Forum, Pucker's primary responsibility will be to maximize the value the organization brings to its members by driving the development of its strategic plan and supporting the Forum's officers in executing on that plan. He will also help oversee the Forum's finances - ensuring its members' needs are met to the maximum extent possible while maintaining financial stability as a not-for-profit organization.

"I'm excited by this opportunity to help the Forum's member companies attain their business objectives," said Pucker. "Among my first actions as CEO will be to meet with representatives of member companies to discuss how the Forum can best support their long-term needs, and then to work with the Forum's officers, directors and chairs on developing a strategic plan to address those needs."

Pucker comes well qualified for the Forum's CEO position, bringing recent corporate development experience with a major SDR solutions provider, where he helped drive the strategic planning process.

"Besides having a wealth of technology expertise, Lee knows how to proactively identify new opportunities, which will serve him well in tackling the SDR Forum's critical issues and anticipating the future needs of our membership," said John Powell, chair of the Forum's board of directors. "As the Forum's CEO, he will play an important role in ensuring that the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to the membership and other stakeholders."

Pucker's career spans more than 20 years and also includes engineering positions at Computer Sciences/Nichols Research, the U.S. Department of Defense, and ITT Industries/Stanford Telecom. He holds two degrees in electrical engineering - a bachelor of science from the University of Illinois and a master of science from Johns Hopkins University - and is a member of the IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE Standards Association.
