WHPACIFIC, INC. ANNOUNCES NATIONAL BUSINESS LINE MANAGERS

ANCHORAGE, AK, Nov. 12, 2007 -- WHPacific, an engineering, architectural and surveying firm operating in eight states, recently announced the appointment of national business line managers to lead six key areas of business—transportation, land development, water resources, architecture, building engineering and survey. John Rense, president of WHPacific made the announcement. WHPacific is currently a group of affiliated companies including several that operate under the name ASCG.

"The new business line organization will allow us to focus on the best resources and practices for our clients, and will allow us to offer more company capabilities when compatible with our other activities," Rense said.

"These are exciting times for our company," said Executive VP/Chief Operating Officer Gary McNeil. "The transformation to a unified 'WHPacific' is proceeding very well and identifying these business line managers is an important step in this transformation."

The new WHPacific business line managers are:

  • Transportation: Brad Bastin, PE. Brad is the current Transportation Business Line Manager for Northwest Operations, working out of the Seattle office. He has nearly 30 years of civil/transportation experience, and has been with the company since 1989. Brad has directed planning and design efforts for major public works projects, and has played a key role in the development and implementation of strategic operational and business development initiatives.
  • Land Development: Tom Jones, RLA, ASLA. Tom is the current Land Development Business Line Manager for Northwest Operations, working out of the Portland office. He has over 30 years of relevant experience, and has been with the company since 1984. Tom has developed a wealth of land development experience in both urban and rural settings, and is particularly skilled in facilitating multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Water Resources: Pierce Runnels, PE, CFM. Pierce currently is Division Manager for Public Works in the Albuquerque office and has been with the company since 1997. He has over 15 years of experience in management and civil design on a broad range of public works projects.
  • Architecture: Eric Stoehr, AIA. Eric currently is Building Division Manager for the Albuquerque office. He has over 30 years of experience on a broad range of commercial, residential, tribal and governmental projects. He has been with the company since 1998.
  • Building Engineering: James McLane, PMP, RCDD. James currently is Building Engineering Department Manager in the Albuquerque office and has been with the company since 1999. He has over 28 years of experience on projects ranging from single-story to multistory industrial, commercial, government, educational, and hospitality facilities.
  • Survey: Jon Warren, PLS. Jon is the current Survey Business Line Manager for Northwest Operations, working out of the Seattle office. Jon brings 24 years of professional survey experience to his new position including 12 years in private practice and 12 years as the Snohomish County Surveyor. He has been with the company since 2006.

WHPacific also announced a new Principal in Charge of Survey: Andy Potts, PLS. Andy will be responsible for overall operations of the Survey Business Line He has over 40 years of professional surveying experience, including 29 with the company.

ASCG Incorporated (www.ascg.com) is transitioning to a one-company organization under the new name WHPacific, Inc. All the ASCG group of companies will operate under the WHPacific name by January, 2008.
